Civil engineering that moves land development projects from concept to construction.
We help developers, architects, and landowners in Minnesota and Colorado plan, permit, and build. Site planning, grading, stormwater, utilities, and permitting, led by a senior engineer.
Big-firm experience. Independent-firm fees.
We plan the ground work that makes developments buildable, permittable, and worth the land they sit on.
Land Pro Civil is a Minnesota- and Colorado-based civil engineering firm working with developers, architects, and landowners from feasibility through construction. We handle the site-side of development: planning, grading, stormwater, utilities, permitting, and construction support.
Every project is led by a licensed Professional Engineer. You get direct access, responsive communication, and plans designed to build, not just to approve.

Paul on every project
The engineer you talk to is the engineer who designs and stamps your plans. No PM layer. No mid-project handoffs.
Licensed in 4 states
Professional Engineer in Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, and Utah. Accountability on every plan stamped.
Fees sized to your project
No big-firm overhead, no partner-rate hourly billing on routine work. Fixed-fee, hourly, or retainer, with the number agreed in writing before work starts.
Full project lifecycle
Feasibility, site planning, design, permitting, and construction support, with the same engineer through the whole project.
Built for complicated sites
Challenging terrain, tight infill, complex stormwater, tough jurisdictions. Where engineering actually matters.
Single parcel to multi-phase
From a one-lot grading plan to a multi-phase subdivision or a utility-scale solar site. We size the engagement to the project, not the reverse.
Trusted by developers and architects who need projects to move.
Paul and Land Pro Civil kept our subdivision moving through permitting that easily could have dragged another six months. The plans were practical and the responsiveness was real.
I've worked with plenty of civil engineers. Paul is one of the few who actually solves site problems early instead of handing them back. Our coordination has been cleaner because of it.
Tough site with serious drainage constraints. Paul's grading and stormwater approach saved us more than an acre of developable area we didn't expect. The numbers worked because of the engineering.
Every Land Pro project is led personally by Paul.
Paul Wallick, PE, founded Land Pro Civil in 2020 after years of senior civil engineering work on residential, commercial, and solar developments across Minnesota and Colorado. He's a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds Professional Engineer licenses in Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, and Utah.
He's the engineer you talk to on the first call. He's the engineer who solves your site problems, coordinates with the agency, and stamps the final plan set. There's no project manager layer to filter through, and no junior engineer learning on your project.
That structure is also why Land Pro Civil is meaningfully more affordable than larger regional firms for comparable scope. Senior expertise without big-firm overhead.
Two markets. Deep local experience.
Twin Cities & Greater Minnesota
Serving Minneapolis, St. Paul, and surrounding municipalities with civil engineering for residential subdivisions, commercial developments, and industrial sites.
Front Range & Mountain Communities
Civil engineering for Front Range developments and mountain-terrain projects from Boulder through the Denver metro, including Arvada, Longmont, and Tabernash.
Common questions from developers and architects.
What size and type of projects do you take on?
We work on residential subdivisions, commercial and retail sites, industrial campuses, mixed-use developments, and ground-mounted solar. Project sizes range from single-parcel infill to multi-phase subdivisions. If you're unsure whether your project is a fit, just reach out.
Do you handle permitting directly?
Yes. We coordinate directly with city, county, state, and federal agencies on zoning, grading, stormwater, and utility approvals. We know the local review processes in the Twin Cities and the Front Range and use that experience to reduce resubmittals.
How do you charge for your services?
We offer fixed-fee, retainer, and hourly engagements depending on project scope and client preference. After a brief call, we'll send a clear proposal with scope, deliverables, and pricing before any work starts.
How do your fees compare to larger engineering firms?
For comparable scope, Land Pro Civil is meaningfully more affordable than larger regional firms. We don't carry the same overhead, we don't bill partner rates on routine work, and we don't need to staff multiple engineers across a single deliverable. You get senior PE expertise from start to finish without paying for a corporate hierarchy.
Do you work on solar projects?
Yes. We provide civil engineering support for community-scale and utility-scale ground-mounted solar, including grading, drainage, stormwater, access roads, and permitting coordination.
What insurance and bonding do you carry?
We maintain professional liability, general liability, and workers' compensation coverage appropriate for commercial, industrial, and residential civil engineering work. Specific coverage limits and additional-insured endorsements can be provided on request when a project requires them.
What's the typical timeline from engagement to stamped plans?
Timelines vary by project scope and jurisdictional review times. A typical residential subdivision civil package runs 6 to 12 weeks from kickoff to first submittal, with approval timelines dependent on the reviewing agency. We'll give you a realistic range during the initial call and build it into the project schedule.
Do you provide surveying or coordinate with a surveyor?
We coordinate closely with licensed land surveyors and can recommend surveyors we've worked with in Minnesota and Colorado. We do not provide surveying services directly, which keeps roles clear and approvals cleaner.
Do you work with outside architects and general contractors?
Yes. Most of our work is in direct partnership with architects, developers, builders, and general contractors. We plug in where the project needs civil expertise and stay in lane, including coordinating directly with the broader project team on schedules, submittals, and construction questions.
How quickly can you start on a new project?
Most new inquiries get a same-business-day response, and we typically schedule a project call within a few days. For active engagements, we match the pace your schedule requires.
